The Flatirons Farmers Coalition is made up of Boulder County farmers, ranchers, and local food advocates working to co-create a more inclusive and regenerative agricultural community

Build community and learn from Boulder farmers

We’d love to see you at one of our upcoming events which are all open
to the public! FFC hosts monthly potlucks as well as other events and
educational workshops.

We resource farmers with
sustainable agriculture education
and policy advocacy

We're here for farmers

We take community building and resourcing seriously, and create avenues for people to deepen their relationship to local food. FFC provides educational and social opportunities for growers and community members. We keep members informed and advocate for better local, state, and national food and agriculture policy to ensure a responsible and regenerative future for land stewardship.

Join our community of Boulder County farmers, ranchers, gardeners, homesteaders, and local food advocates!

As a community-driven organization, FFC seeks to cultivate and support the success of beginning and established farmers through empathetic connection and equitable action among its members.

We support our members by:
  • Empowering beginning farmers through education and policy advocacy

  • Offering farm tours and workshops

  • Providing resources across areas of the food system

  • Cultivating a values-aligned community

  • And more!

Flatirons Farmers Coalition works from multiple angles to support sustainable agriculture in Boulder County

Our committees are run by passionate FFC members who are constantly working to create a better agricultural future. If you’re interested in working on any of these areas, fill out our interest form!

Our community is affected by policy, and deserves to have a voice in the decisions being made. From helping people understand the resources available to them, to advocating for immediate and long term needs on local and national levels, our Policy team ensures our members have support.

An agricultural career can be isolating, and our Community Committee makes sure that there are ample opportunities to connect with others. We support holistic wellbeing, while building a strong and resilient ag community in Boulder. Join us at a potluck, for a hike, or at our annual celebratory Hoe Down!

There is always more farmers and ranchers can learn, whether they're just beginning or well-established. Our educational programming resources beginning farmers while providing peer-to-peer learning opportunities, such as farm tours and our annual Farmer Forum, that benefit all our members.

Our Development Committee is tasked with ensuring our growing organization is properly funded so that we can continue to provide much-needed resources to the agricultural community.  A major focus is on winning grant support.
