About the event

Come learn about the wild edible and medicinal plants that surround our farms, gardens, and community spaces with herbalist Kat Mackinnon. We will be exploring the wonderful Three Leaf Farm along Coal Creek in Lafayette!

Along with botanical identification, we’ll be digging into medicinal uses, ecology, harvesting, poisonous plants, wild edible plant recipes, and more! We’ll also explore using the senses to identify plant constituents, and how to read the landscape to find your wild foods and medicines.

This class is rain or shine, so come with rain gear and layers! Bring a notebook and pencil, and a reusable cup for coffee :)

Schedule for the day:

Coffee/refreshments: 9:30am - 10am

Herb Tour/Class: 10am - 12pm
