About the event
Soil on Earth began with elements forged in stars, providing raw ingredients needed for life.
John Keller, Fiske Planetarium Director, will take us on an immersive flight through our galaxy and solar system. Then farmers Clark Harshbarger, Mark DeRespinis, Shelby Kaminski, and Mark and Kena Guttridge will share thoughts on how tending land shapes our relationship with the soil.
You'll see nighttime constellations, footage of stars above select local farms, as well as get answers to any questions you may have about the web of our galaxy and the web of soil mycorrhizae that enable life to exist.
This is an out-of-this-world experience that you won't want to miss!
