Join FFC at the 3rd annual Longmont Water Fair!
This FREE family friendly event mixes science, art, and learning to help you follow water on its journey.
Play at learning stations, create art on life-size maps, enjoy live performances, talk with local water experts, spend time at the water, and complete a Water Passport to earn fun prizes. You'll gain a greater sense of community and knowledge about how Colorado water is shared.
FFC will have a booth about representing farms as a part of "where our water goes". We'll have a ditch map with the farms of Longmont and share how all people rely on farms and effective water systems like ditches to grow the food that we eat every day. We will be talking about how farmers are thinking through this drought year, and how some farms have opted to grow in different and unique ways.
FFC will have a map, a snack, and some drip irrigation for hands on tools, and some little note cards that kiddos can write on to thank a farmer!
